Coach Kraft is entering his 10th year at the helm of Hickory High School baseball program. Played High School baseball at Great Bridge HS from 1986-1988. Coach Kraft played collegiately at The Citadel, The Military College of the South and was a 4 year letterman for the Bulldogs from 1988-1992. He helped guide the baseball team to two Southern Conference Championships and to the College World Series his sophomore year ,where they ended their season with a final ranking of 6th in the country. Coach pitched in all three games that The Citadel played in at Omaha, recording their lone win verse Cal State Fullerton. Coach Kraft was inducted into The Citadel Hall of Fame in 2014. After college, Coach Kraft coached at the collegiate level at Lincoln Memorial University, Princeton University, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Western Carolina University before taking a high school job at Ocean Lakes High School (11 years at OLHS). Coach Kraft is in his 6th year at Hickory HS as a Health and Physical Education Teacher. Married to Kyla with three boys, Ethan (17), Eli (15) and Brooks (10).

Coach Scott Dekker
1988 Graduate of Great Bridge High School. Lettered twice for the Wildcats. Will work with infielders and hitters. Graduated from Elon College and is an Elementary PE teacher in the Chesapeake School System. Is married to Roxy. They have two boys, Bryce and Brady.
Coach Vince Zebro
Coach Z enters his 6th year as an assistant coach for the Hickory Varsity Baseball team. With his wealth of knowledge, Coach will help with all aspects of the game. A fixture in the Tidewater area, Coach Z was the head baseball coach at Granby for 15 years, head baseball coach at Norfolk Academy for 9 years, and head baseball coach at Lake Taylor for 10 years. Coach Z played college baseball at ODU for Bud Metheny (Catcher/First Baseman). He is married to Barbara and has two sons, Edward and Joshua. Coach retired after 38 years of teaching Health and PE and Science.
Coach Cody Schneider
Coach Schneider enters his first year as an assistant coach for the Varsity Baseball team.
Coach Keith Hardison
Entering 26th season as the Hawks head JV Coach. Coach Hardison has been the one constant in the Hawks program. Under his leadership the Hawks JV program has a record of 249 - 63-1. Was an Assistant for the Varsity in 1997. Is a graduate of Oscar Smith High School. Married to Lisa with 2 sons, Eric and Ryan.
Coach Jerry Eason
Has been in the Hickory program for 10 seasons. Graduate of Great Bridge High School and Elon College. Married to Michele who teaches at Southeastern Elementary. Has two kids, Connor (who played at Hickory and went on to pitch at UVA and South Florida) and Cassidy. We are very lucky to have Coach Eason helping our staff and kids.
Coach Zach Burkhart
1st year coaching and teaching at Hickory HS (Art Teacher). Graduate of Virginia Wesleyan University where he played Baseball for 4 years. Coach is from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and attended Fox Chapel High School. Coach Burkhart will assist Coach Hardison on the JV team and will coach all JV and Varsity Catchers.
